Longwood Gardens is one of my favorite Philly area outings. I’ve been here on a date, then again with my grandmother. I decided this time to visit Nightscape with my four year old cousin, Kennedy. As overwhelmed as I am with the multi-sensory experience, I knew that she would enjoy it.
Longwood’s acres of foliage are even beautiful at night, but as we walked down the lit paths, Kennedy knew that she was in store for another treat.
The magnificent horticultural display that we knew during the day, became a wonderland once the lights went down. Every part became apart of the splendor. From the trees to the fountains.
The water lily garden had a pleasant pineapple scent.
Kennedy is one of few words, but after waking up from her car nap, she exclaimed, “I had fun!” As always, I did too. Nightscape runs from now until October 29th. Check it out: Nightscape at Longwood Gardens
