I have been meaning to get to Flywheel Sports for quite some time. I received rave reviews from my New York friends who are cycling fanatics. After this recent lull in my fitness routine, I decided enough was enough. I gotta finally see what this fitness cult classic was about.
Upon arrival, this place is oozing with motivation. The happy blue logo hung right outside of my subway station, leading Erin and me to believe we were in for a fun workout.
It was fun alright, but not in a jazzercise sort of way. Our instructor Nicole Hinterberger turned our legs to Jell-O, and with the help of a great Spotify playlist, we were able to enjoy every moment of it. I anticipated a grueling workout, considering that it was only a 30 minute class-HIIT cardio-style, and I was spot-on.
The Power 30 class is the perfect workout before work, or on a Saturday morning before you run to do ratchet stuff with your friends. I’ll be back, Flywheel, and the next time, I’ll conquer you Flybarre (that’s if it doesn’t conquer me). Interested in trying? Visit Flywheel’s website and sign up for your first free class!
